Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A months-long investigation into alleged illegal activity at a local massage business has led to human trafficking charges, multiple arrests, and the permanent closure of the establishment.

On February 12, 2026, officers with the Pascagoula Police Department conducted a targeted operation at Asian Acupressure, located at 2518 Denny Avenue, after receiving a tip about suspected prostitution taking place inside the business.

Authorities launched an undercover operation, during which investigators say they obtained direct evidence of prostitution-related activity. Following the operation, all employees present at the location were taken into custody for questioning.

Investigators then executed a search warrant at the business, escalating the case beyond prostitution allegations. As a result of the investigation, Thomas Knowles, 66, has been charged with two counts of human trafficking — a serious felony offense that carries significant penalties under Alabama law.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that additional charges may be forthcoming as evidence continues to be processed and reviewed by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

In a decisive move, city officials revoked the business license for Asian Acupressure and condemned the property, effectively shutting down operations.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this case to contact the Pascagoula Police Department at 228-762-2211. The investigation remains active, and officials say more developments could follow.
