Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Mobile Police are investigating an attempted robbery Wednesday night that ended with a vehicle crashing into Eslava Creek. According to authorities, on February 12, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Eslava Creek and Mohawk Street in reference to a robbery complaint. Preliminary information indicates a male subject approached the victim’s vehicle while armed with a handgun and demanded property. The victim immediately fled the scene in the vehicle. As the vehicle was leaving, the suspect fired multiple shots toward it. Police say that as the driver accelerated to escape, he drove through the dead end of Mohawk Street and into Eslava Creek. The driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. Investigators noted that, at this time, it does not appear the vehicle was struck by gunfire. The case remains under active investigation. Authorities have not released a description of the suspect, and no additional details are being made available at this time.
