Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A multi-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning has forced the closure of eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Baldwin County, authorities said.

The crash occurred at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, near the 32-mile marker. As a result of the incident, the eastbound lanes are currently blocked and are expected to remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.

Officials reported an extreme amount of fog in the area at the time of the crash, which may have contributed to hazardous driving conditions. Motorists traveling through the area are strongly urged to seek alternate routes, as the lane closure could be extended.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are on scene responding to the crash and will continue to monitor traffic conditions. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Drivers are advised to use caution and remain alert when traveling in foggy conditions.
