Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — One person was injured Wednesday evening in a crash involving a three-wheeled vehicle on Interstate 65 in Mobile, according to the Mobile Police Department. The crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near the Cottage Hill Road overpass. Police said the vehicle involved was a modified three-wheeler, not a car or truck. Details surrounding the cause of the wreck remain limited. Officers found the driver injured beyond the guardrail on an embankment near the crash site. The driver was transported to a local hospital while a BuzzReport photographer was on scene. Police have not released the individual’s identity. According to MPD, the driver’s injuries were believed to be potentially life-threatening, though he was conscious and alert at the time he was transported.
