GULFPORT, Miss. (BuzzReport) — The Gulfport Police Department has arrested two Gulfport teenagers in connection with a shooting that left an 18-year-old man critically injured.

Police said 16-year-old Briandly Bacarri Holmes was arrested on January 31, 2026, and charged with one count of aggravated assault. A day earlier, on January 30, 2026, officers arrested 14-year-old Antreeion Coleman, also of Gulfport, charging him with one count of aggravated assault.

The arrests stem from a shooting that occurred on January 30 at approximately 6:01 p.m. in the area of 15th Avenue and 28th Street, according to investigators.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was airlifted to a trauma facility, where he was reported to be in stable but critical condition.

Investigators determined the incident began as a verbal dispute involving a firearm. Authorities said that prior to the victim’s arrival, a confrontation was anticipated but had not yet taken place. When the victim arrived at the location, he was allegedly chased by Holmes and Coleman, who discharged firearms, striking the victim.

Both suspects were processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where they are being held on $500,000 bonds.

The Gulfport Police Department continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
