Talladega County, AL (BuzzReport) — David E. Reddick has officially announced his candidacy for the Alabama House of Representatives, District 32, a seat representing parts of Calhoun County and Talladega County. A lifelong Alabamian, Reddick brings a varied background to the race, including service as a U.S. Navy veteran, author, public speaker, and former city councilman. His career spans both public service and the private sector, with professional experience as a field engineer. Reddick says those experiences—along with his personal journey of overcoming a serious injury—have shaped his commitment to accountability, hard work, and advocacy for everyday citizens. In his announcement, Reddick emphasized a people-first approach to governance, stating that effective government depends on listening to constituents and engaging openly with the issues that matter most to local communities. Among the topics he highlighted were the ongoing debate over a state lottery, care for Alabama’s most vulnerable residents, and the need to strengthen and adequately support public education. “These are not partisan concerns; they are community concerns,” Reddick said, underscoring his belief that honest dialogue and practical solutions should guide public policy. Reddick outlined a platform centered on integrity in leadership, compassion for those in need, respect for Alabama’s values, and expanded opportunity for children and families across District 32. He pledged to prioritize listening to constituents and to advocate for policies that reflect the will and well-being of the people he seeks to represent. “Together, we can build a stronger, more responsive future for Calhoun County, Talladega County, and the great State of Alabama,” Reddick said. Alabama’s primary elections are scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, with polling places open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Share this:Tweet Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Nextdoor More Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Like this:Like Loading… Related Post navigation Major Winter Storm Forces Widespread School Closures and Delays Across Alabama Alabama Power Customers Report Sharp Increases in Electric Bills
