Greenville, AL (BuzzReport) — A two-vehicle crash involving a commercial vehicle has caused a traffic disruption along Interstate 65 in Butler County, according to state authorities.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:46 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, near the 121 mile marker on southbound I-65. As a result of the collision, the right southbound lane is currently blocked and will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time, officials said.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division responded to the scene and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are also monitoring traffic conditions and working to ensure the safety of motorists traveling through the area.

Drivers are urged to use caution, reduce speed, and consider alternate routes if possible to avoid delays while crews work the scene.

No information has been released regarding injuries at this time. ALEA officials say updates will be provided as more details become available.
