Montgomery Man Charged in Domestic Violence Strangulation Case

Montgomery, AL (BuzzReport) — Montgomery Police have charged a local man following a serious domestic violence incident late Sunday night that left authorities responding to the Hay Market Street area.

According to the Montgomery Police Department (MPD), Dustin McNeil, 41, was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence – Strangulation in connection with an incident that occurred on January 12, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Police say officers were dispatched to the area after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. Following an on-scene investigation, McNeil was identified as the primary suspect. He was taken into custody without incident and later booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

The case remains under investigation. McNeil is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
