Police Investigating Shooting at a Hotel in Moss Point that Leaves One Dead

MOSS POINT, Miss. (BuzzReport) — Authorities are investigating a death discovered Tuesday inside a Moss Point hotel, prompting a swift police response and an active inquiry.

According to Interim Police Chief Dennis Stevenson, officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn on Highway 63 after receiving a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found one person deceased inside the hotel. Officials have not released details about the circumstances surrounding the death or confirmed the cause.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing. However, they emphasized that there is no known threat to the public at this time.
