Man Arrested After Christmas Day Knife Assault in Mobile

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Christmas Day disturbance in Mobile led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man after a woman was injured in a knife attack inside a residence, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the 90 block of Acacia Street at approximately 2:19 p.m. on Thursday, December 25, in response to a report of a cutting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a female victim suffering from injuries sustained during an altercation with a known male subject inside a home.

Investigators determined that the suspect had forced his way into the residence before cutting the woman with a knife. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the suspect as Petrez Conner, 25. He was taken into custody without further incident and transported to Metro Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details regarding potential charges or the circumstances leading up to the altercation.
