Teen Arrested in Mobile Shooting as Investigation Continues

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that unfolded earlier this month on Brooke Avenue, bringing new developments to a case that initially left the community searching for answers.

On Sunday night, December 14, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Mobile police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Brooke Avenue following reports of a shooting. Officers arriving at the scene found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound sustained during an argument. The injury was determined to be non-life-threatening, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Investigators quickly began working to identify the person responsible. Their efforts led to the identification of a known male suspect believed to have shot the victim during the dispute. For several days, the case remained active as detectives gathered information and worked to locate the individual involved.

On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, police located and arrested William Roberts, 18, in connection with the shooting. Roberts was taken into custody without incident and transported to Metro Jail, where he was booked on a charge of first-degree assault.
