Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A deadly discovery on a quiet Mobile street a month ago has led to a murder arrest following a police investigation.

Mobile police on Wednesday, Dec. 17, arrested 21-year-old Trayon James in connection with a homicide investigation. James was taken into custody and booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail on a murder charge.

The investigation began when officers were dispatched at approximately to the 1800 block of Mott Drive South back in November after reports of a body found on a vacant lot. Responding officers arrived to find a man deceased, the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Authorities later identified the victim as 32-year-old Marcel Miller. The scene was secured as investigators worked through the morning hours, collecting evidence and canvassing the area in an effort to piece together the circumstances leading to the killing.

While police have not released details regarding a possible motive or the events preceding the shooting, the arrest marks a significant development in the case. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to work to determine what led to Miller’s death and whether additional charges or arrests may follow.
