Baldwin County, AL (BuzzReport)- Authorities have taken a Malcom, Alabama man into custody following a coordinated undercover investigation targeting online crimes against children. Jeremy Dane Windle, 44, was arrested by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office on multiple felony charges including electronic solicitation of a minor, traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, possession of fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest followed a joint operation between the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations division. Investigators allege that Windle initiated contact through electronic communication with an officer posing as a female child. He is accused of engaging in sexual solicitation before traveling from Washington County into Baldwin County to meet the individual he believed to be a minor.

Detectives moved in when Windle arrived at the predetermined location. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, authorities reportedly found fentanyl and drug paraphernalia in his possession. Windle declined to speak with investigators following his apprehension.

Windle is being held as investigators continue to gather evidence related to both the alleged solicitation and drug offenses. The case will proceed through the Baldwin County judicial system, with court dates expected to be set in the coming weeks.
