Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)– Authorities have taken into custody a man accused of a violent shooting in Foley earlier this week, bringing a tense manhunt to a close. James Fitzgerald Everette was wanted in connection with an incident on December 9, 2025, in which gunfire erupted inside a home on Linda Court. Investigators say Everette was allegedly involved in a robbery and entered the residence shortly before shots were fired, striking a man twice in the chest. Police determined that the suspect and victim were acquaintances, and that Everette had been invited into the home prior to an altercation that escalated into gun violence. Following the shooting, the victim underwent emergency surgery and remains in stable condition. His identity has not been made public.
