Mount Vernon, AL (BuzzReport)- A Mount Vernon man sustained fatal injuries early Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Alabama 21. The collision, which occurred near the 23-mile marker, involved a personal vehicle and a commercial garbage truck. Michael Martin, 71, was pronounced dead following the incident. His vehicle struck a Freightliner garbage truck along the roadway. The crash unfolded at 5:57 AM on Tuesday, December 2, bringing emergency services to the scene and impacting early morning traffic in the area.
