ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FL – [BuzzReport] – A volatile domestic argument on Wednesday afternoon escalated sharply into a shooting on Moreno Court, leaving one man injured and prompting a rapid response from the (ECSO). Authorities confirm one individual has been detained as investigators work to piece together the full sequence of the violent encounter. The incident began shortly before 3 p.m. on November 12, according to ECSO officials, when two women engaged in a heated verbal dispute. The situation rapidly deteriorated after one of the women allegedly contacted her boyfriend, who subsequently arrived at the scene. Sources indicate that shortly after the boyfriend’s arrival, gunfire erupted. A male victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury after being shot in the leg during the altercation. Emergency services responded quickly, and the victim is receiving treatment. Immediate Detention, Investigation Continues The swift action of ECSO deputies resulted in the immediate detention of one person connected to the shooting. However, the investigation remains active and complex. Sheriff’s Office officials stated late Wednesday that while one person is in custody, investigators are diligently working to determine if more than one individual discharged a firearm during the exchange. The scene remains secured as forensic and investigative units collect evidence crucial to establishing the charges. The ECSO has not yet released the identity of the detained individual or the specific charges pending.
