Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – The Interstate 10 corridor faced significant disruption during Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025, after Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) troopers responded to two separate, multi-vehicle crashes in quick succession across Mobile and Baldwin counties. Both serious incidents required substantial traffic management and necessitated temporary lane closures for investigation and cleanup. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division was dispatched to the first collision in Mobile County at approximately 10:33 a.m. This incident occurred on I-10 eastbound near the 4-mile marker. The crash involved two vehicles, including a large commercial 18-wheel tractor-trailer rig. The investigation into this major vehicle accident resulted in the immediate closure of at least one eastbound lane for an undetermined duration, severely slowing traffic movement out of the city. Less than thirty minutes later, a second multi-vehicle crash was reported in the neighboring jurisdiction. Troopers responded to the scene in Baldwin County, near the 51-mile marker, just before 11:00 a.m. This separate two-vehicle collision created an even greater impact on transportation, completely blocking the eastbound lanes of I-10 in that area and causing significant delays for drivers heading toward Florida. Troopers were responsible for managing the complex traffic flow around both sites while actively investigating the specific causes of the two highly disruptive morning crashes. Law enforcement officials worked diligently to document the collisions and clear the extensive debris. While the exact duration of the traffic stoppages remained undetermined, state troopers successfully reopened all affected lanes in both Mobile and Baldwin counties later in the day. These incidents contribute to a worrying trend that ALEA has observed across the region, where I-10 frequently experiences multiple crashes—often involving commercial vehicles—leading to predictable and recurring major lane closures.
