Crime scene do not cross tape.

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – What began as a routine call for a disturbance Tuesday evening quickly escalated into a physical assault case at a Spanish Trail Drive apartment complex, leading to one immediate arrest and the hospitalization of a female victim.

Mobile Police Department officers responded to a reported disorderly complaint at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday at the Spanish Oak Inn Apartments, located at 6232 Spanish Trail Drive.

Upon arrival, the situation was far more serious than initially reported. Officers located a female victim suffering from injuries sustained during a physical attack. She was immediately transported to a local hospital for necessary treatment. Police have classified her injuries as minor, though her current condition was not disclosed.

According to preliminary findings from the MPD, the victim was allegedly assaulted by “several known subjects” who were involved in the disturbance. This classification suggests the incident was a targeted attack rather than a random act of violence.

The immediate investigation led to the arrest of 50-year-old Dana Loftin. She was taken into custody on the scene and transported to Metro Jail, where she currently awaits processing and formal charges related to the assault.

Detectives are actively pursuing leads, and authorities have indicated that this remains an ongoing investigation. Police sources confirm that additional arrests are possible as they work to identify and apprehend all subjects involved in the attack.

No further information regarding the identities of the victim or the specific cause of the disorderly complaint has been released by the Mobile Police Department at this time.
