BEATRICE, AL (BuzzReport)– A targeted weekend operation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has delivered a significant blow to illegal drug activity in the Beatrice community, resulting in two separate felony arrests and the recovery of dangerous contraband. Sheriff Tom Boatwright announced today that heightened patrols, initiated in response to numerous community complaints, proved highly effective in addressing public safety concerns.

The decisive action unfolded over the weekend as deputies conducted proactive patrols throughout Beatrice. These efforts led to two distinct traffic stops, culminating in the felony arrests of Darron Muse and Cameron Phillips. During searches of the suspects’ vehicles, deputies successfully recovered illegal firearms and various illegal drugs, removing them from the streets of Monroe County.
