MOBILE, AL — A violent domestic dispute disrupted the early morning hours in Mobile on Thursday, October 23, 2025, leading to the arrest of a 25-year-old woman who allegedly used her vehicle to strike a male victim as he walked along a busy local road.

Michaela Conner, 25, was booked into Metro Jail on assault charges following the incident, which occurred just after 6:30 a.m. in the area of Halls Mill Road and Holcombe Avenue.

Vehicle Weaponized in Morning Assault

Mobile Police Department (MPD) officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Halls Mill Road at approximately 6:32 a.m. following reports of a domestic incident involving a vehicle.

According to preliminary reports released by the MPD, upon arrival, responding officers located an adult male victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators determined that the victim had been struck by an automobile while walking in the area.

Despite having been hit by a vehicle—an act that often leads to severe trauma—the male victim declined medical transport or treatment on the scene.

Further investigation by MPD personnel quickly identified the known female subject involved in the dispute. Authorities allege that Michaela Conner intentionally drove her vehicle into the victim.

Arrest and Charges

The domestic assault unfolded during a peak travel time for the south Mobile area, raising concerns about the inherent danger posed by the weaponized vehicle to both the victim and the general public.

Following questioning, Conner was formally arrested and charged with Domestic Violence Assault. She was transported and booked into Mobile Metro Jail, where she remains awaiting setting of bond and arraignment.

The Mobile Police Department did not immediately release details regarding the nature of the relationship between Conner and the victim, or what precipitated the violent confrontation.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
