Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)– Mobile police are investigating a robbery that took place in a quiet neighborhood on the city’s west side Tuesday evening, leaving residents unsettled but thankful the victim was unharmed.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. on October 21 in the 2500 block of Kossow Street. Officers were dispatched after receiving reports of a home invasion involving a female suspect. Investigators said the woman entered a man’s residence without permission and forcibly stole his cell phone before fleeing the scene.

Responding officers quickly secured the area and began canvassing nearby homes for potential witnesses or surveillance footage that might aid in identifying the suspect. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the encounter, but officials emphasized the seriousness of the crime and the department’s commitment to locating the person responsible.

Residents in the surrounding area expressed concern about the bold nature of the incident, noting that Kossow Street is typically quiet and family-oriented. Police have increased patrols in the neighborhood as a precaution and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

As of Wednesday morning, investigators continued to process evidence and interview witnesses. Officials confirmed that the case remains active and that additional updates will be released as new information becomes available.
