On Friday, October 10, 2025, at approximately 6:24 p.m., Mobile Police were dispatched to the Walmart located at 101 E. I-65 Service Road following reports of suspicious activity.

Upon arrival, officers encountered Lisa Nelson, 47, and George Nash, Jr., 36, who were reportedly engaged in the act of altering price tags on merchandise. According to preliminary reports, the pair were observed meticulously swapping barcodes on various clothing items, substituting the original, higher prices with those of less expensive goods. This tactic, a hallmark of organized retail theft, aims to significantly reduce the cost of items at self-checkout stations or through an accomplice at a register.
