Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A rapid response by local law enforcement on Thursday evening led to the swift apprehension of three individuals following an armed robbery in the 900 block of Government Street. The incident, which saw a male victim robbed at gunpoint, concluded with arrests made a short time after the initial report, demonstrating effective police work in the city.

Authorities were alerted to the robbery at approximately 9:43 p.m. on August 28, 2025. Upon their immediate arrival at the scene, officers confirmed that a male individual had been accosted by three male subjects. The perpetrators, brandishing a firearm, forcibly took the victim’s backpack, which contained his cell phone and wallet, before quickly fleeing the area.

The investigation commenced without delay, with officers promptly gathering vital information about the suspects. Through diligent efforts and a strategic deployment of resources, law enforcement personnel were successful in identifying and locating the three individuals not long after the crime. They were found in the vicinity of Palmetto Street and Roper Street, an area relatively close to the scene of the robbery.

Following their apprehension, Jaharee May, 19, was taken into custody and subsequently transported to Metro Jail to face charges related to the incident. Additionally, two male juvenile subjects, also implicated in the armed robbery, were arrested. Their cases are expected to proceed through the juvenile justice system.
