Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A tragic traffic accident on Saturday claimed the life of a 19-year-old motorcyclist, authorities confirmed. The fatal collision occurred just after 11:00 a.m. on Airport Boulevard near Larkspur Street. Mobile Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:08 a.m. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered a male victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was immediately transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced deceased. An initial investigation by officers revealed that a female driver was attempting to access the westbound lanes of Airport Boulevard when her vehicle was struck from the rear by a motorcycle. The victim, who was operating the motorcycle, sustained critical injuries in the impact. The female driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident. The deceased has been identified as Ashton McGraw, 19. This remains an active and ongoing investigation by the Mobile Police Department. Authorities have stated that no further details will be released at this time as detectives continue their probe into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
