Frederick Buchanan Identified as Victim in Fatal Quail Run Shooting; No Arrests Made as Case Sent to DA

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A Sunday morning shooting in the typically quiet Quail Run neighborhood has left a 25-year-old man dead, with police confirming a known subject was involved in an altercation that led to the fatal gunfire. The victim has been identified as Frederick Buchanan, 25.

According to preliminary reports from the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to the 5000 block of Quail Run E. at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered Buchanan outside of a residence, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
