Powerful Thunderstorms Leave Over 62,000 Without Power in Chicago Area

According to ComEd’s latest updates, crews are working tirelessly to restore power, but their efforts were hindered by heavy rain and flash flooding across the western and southern suburbs.

The outages are widespread, affecting several counties, including:

• Cook County: 27,664 customers impacted
• Kane County: 9,236 customers impacted
• DuPage County: 7,268 customers impacted
• Will County: 6,589 customers impacted
• McHenry County: 5,495 customers impacted
