Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A early shooting at a local food truck has turned deadly, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation by the Mobile Police Department. The incident unfolded shortly after 2:00 a.m. at the Super Stop located at 2061 St. Stephens Road, where officers arrived to find a male victim with a fatal gunshot wound. Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased was attempting to rob the food truck operator when the situation escalated. According to investigators, the suspect brandished a firearm in an effort to carry out the robbery. However, the food truck operator was armed as well and defended himself, resulting in the suspect being shot. Fortunately, the food truck operator did not sustain any injuries during the encounter. The name of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of family members. Authorities are committed to thoroughly investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and have stated that the investigation remains active.
