Man Arrested in Connection with Assault on Government Boulevard

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A 39-year-old man is facing charges after a Saturday afternoon altercation left a victim with minor injuries.

According to police, officers responded to a report of an assault in the 3400 block of Government Boulevard at approximately 4:01 p.m. on July 12, 2025. Upon arrival, they found a male victim who had been struck with a shovel during a dispute with another male subject.

The victim received medical treatment at the scene but declined to be transported to a hospital.

Elden Hogsten, 39, was taken into custody and booked at Metro Jail in connection with the incident.
