According to a news release from the Prichard Police Department, the victim has been identified as 63-year-old Ennis Holbert Smith Jr., a resident of Saraland, Alabama. The incident prompted a swift response from Prichard’s police and fire departments, who worked tirelessly to recover Smith’s body from Chickasabogue Creek. The search efforts were supported by units from Satsuma, Saraland, and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Flotilla.
