Escambia County Woman Charged with Aggravated Battery After Metro PCS Store Brawl

Escambia County, FL – A dispute at a Metro PCS store in Escambia County took a violent turn on Thursday afternoon, leaving a store employee injured. According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the altercation began inside the store on Chief’s Way around 2 p.m. and spilled outside, where the employee suffered a facial laceration.

Deputies report that the incident started as an argument between three females, including two women and one juvenile. When a female employee attempted to intervene, she was attacked by the juvenile. The situation escalated further when 37-year-old Mary Frances Baldwin allegedly pulled a knife and cut the employee.

Baldwin has been charged with aggravated battery and is being held without bond at the Escambia County Jail. The juvenile involved faces battery charges, while a third woman was cleared of any wrongdoing.

The injured employee received medical treatment at a local hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not confirmed whether the victim knew the individuals involved.
