Teenager Dies After Attempted Robbery at Lucky Seven Gas Station

Prichard, AL (BuzzReport) –

A shooting incident occurred early Saturday morning at the Lucky Seven gas station and convenience store in Prichard, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old male. According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the teen attempted to rob the store at approximately 3:35 a.m. and was shot by the store manager.

The teenager fled the scene on foot and was later pronounced dead in the 700 block of La Fargue Street due to a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest. Authorities reported that the teen was wearing a hoodie, mask, and orange gloves at the time of the incident. A 9mm Taurus pistol was found next to his body.

Investigators noted that the same store was robbed on June 9 by a subject with a similar description. Video footage from the prior incident is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
