Motor Vehicle Accident on Tallassee Highway Results in Life-Threatening Injuries

Eclectic, AL (BuzzReport) – A multi-agency response was initiated early today after a commercial panel truck and small pickup collided almost head-on on Tallassee Highway just west of Pleasant Hill Road. The accident occurred at 08:36 on June 23, 2025.

Elmore Fire Department (EFD) units arrived on scene to find one person entrapped in their vehicle. Haynes Ambulance of Alabama personnel had already arrived and initiated patient care. EFD personnel used rescue tools to access and extricate the patient, who was then transported to an area hospital by Haynes LifeFlight for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Assisting agencies included Haynes LifeFlight, Haynes Rapid Response Unit, additional Haynes ground units, and City of Tallassee Fire Department’s Car 10. The efforts of these agencies are greatly appreciated.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
