Pascagoula, MS – June 19, 2025, 1:00 PM CT – Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII), has resumed normal operations following a brief disruption early this morning. At approximately 11:08 AM, authorities were alerted to a suspicious device discovered within the shipyard, prompting a swift and decisive response.

Responding to the potential safety threat, first responders, in collaboration with Ingalls’ robust security team, immediately initiated a pre-planned safety protocol. Employees were efficiently evacuated from the affected area, and a secure perimeter was established, demonstrating the company’s commitment to prioritizing the safety of its workforce.

Following a thorough assessment by qualified officials, the device was determined to pose no credible threat to public safety. The all-clear was given, and the shipyard was deemed safe for the resumption of operations.

“We’re grateful for the quick response from our shipbuilders and first responders,” stated Kimberly Aguillard, Ingalls spokesperson, emphasizing the collaborative effort that ensured a swift and safe resolution to the situation.
