HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY IN NEW ORLEANS EAST

New Orleans, LA (BuzzReport)- June 18, 2025 – The New Orleans Police Department’s Seventh District is actively investigating a homicide that occurred earlier today in the 21700 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

According to NOPD officials, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive subject lying in the grass at approximately 4:34 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located the victim and determined that a homicide had been committed.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity and official cause of death once the autopsy is complete and family members have been notified. At this time, the victim has been identified as a male, but further details remain under wraps.

Detectives are working diligently to gather evidence and interview witnesses to identify those responsible for the crime. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
