22-Year-Old Woman Dies After Stabbing at Mobile Apartment Complex

MOBILE, AL (BuzzReport) — A tragic incident unfolded at the One Ten Apartments on Sunday evening, leaving a 22-year-old woman dead and her mother injured. According to the Mobile Police Department, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at 110 Long St.

Officers responded to the scene and found two female victims with injuries, one of which was life-threatening. The victims, identified as Joirdan Jones, 22, and her mother, were transported to local hospitals. Unfortunately, Joirdan Jones succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.

The investigation revealed that Jones and her mother were retrieving belongings from the apartment when an argument erupted with a former roommate. The dispute turned physical, and the roommate allegedly armed herself with a knife, stabbing both women.

The Mobile Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident, and the case will be presented to a grand jury. Authorities are working to gather more information and determine the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
