Homicide Investigation Underway on Woodland Avenue in Mobile

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A fatal incident on Woodland Avenue is being investigated as a homicide. On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at approximately 7:51 p.m., police responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle overturned near Metals USA, and the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that the victim sustained a gunshot wound. The Mobile Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the case.

At this time, the Mobile Police Department is withholding further details, including the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.
