Residential Fire Devastates Home in Mobile Neighborhood

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A house fire in the 3300 block of Kings Gate Drive West in Mobile, Alabama, caused significant damage on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department responded to multiple calls reporting the blaze, with Engine 18 being the first unit to arrive on the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire visible from the front of the single-story brick veneer residence. Fortunately, neighbors reported that no one was inside the home, allowing crews to focus on extinguishing the flames.

Firefighters initially made an interior attack, but were later ordered to switch to a defensive position due to the severity of the fire. Despite their efforts, the fire burned through the roof and damaged the entire structure.

The cause of the fire has not been reported, and it is unclear if anyone was injured or if the occupants of the home will be able to salvage any belongings. The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is investigating the incident.
