Mobile, AL – A 32-year-old Mobile mother, Katrina Ankum, has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, Ankum was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail last Thursday and later released.

The arrest comes in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Sage Park shooting that occurred on April 17. Frenicka Craig, an innocent bystander, was tragically shot during the incident. Earlier this month, six suspects were charged with murder in connection with the shooting. They include Mykael Kimbrough, Ladarius Moore, Rodriguez Holifield, Jaquentin Brantley, Quinterious Parker, and a 16-year-old male.

During a recent court hearing, a detective testified that the 16-year-old suspect allegedly used his mother’s vehicle to transport several individuals believed to be gang members during the crime. Following the testimony, a Mobile County judge ruled that five of the six suspects would be held without bond under Aniah’s Law.

Due to the juvenile’s status, further details regarding Ankum’s arrest could not be disclosed by the district attorney’s office to protect the minor’s identity.
