Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A grand jury has indicted Roy Adams Jr., a former Mobile police officer, on a charge of homicide by vehicle in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in July. According to reports, Adams was involved in a collision with motorcyclist Sumner Howard at the intersection of Old Shell Road and Mobile Infirmary Boulevard. Howard tragically lost his life in the incident. Adams, 45, of Theodore, turned himself in and was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail. He was released shortly after. Adams resigned from the Mobile Police Department three weeks prior to his indictment. The case has garnered significant attention, and the indictment marks a significant development in the investigation.
