Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — An early-morning physical altercation at a Mobile apartment complex left a woman injured Saturday, October 3, as police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

At approximately 2:05 a.m., officers responded to 1966 Wagner Street, the location of Townhouse Square Apartments, following a report of an assault.

When officers arrived, they learned that a female victim had already been transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital for treatment. The victim reportedly suffered injuries during a physical altercation, but those injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

During the preliminary investigation, officers determined that a known female subject allegedly cut the victim during the confrontation.

Investigators are continuing to work to determine exactly what led to the altercation and the circumstances surrounding the reported assault. The identities of those involved and any potential charges have not been released at this time.

The case remains an active investigation.
