Police Pursuit Ends In Crash At Cottage Hill And Hillcrest Road

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)—A Mobile Police Department officer was involved in a crash Wednesday morning while reportedly pursuing another vehicle, sending one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Mobile Police Department, the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Cottage Hill Road and Hillcrest Road.

Police said the officer was not injured in the collision. However, a person inside the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers at the scene reported that the police vehicle was involved in a pursuit at the time of the crash. The circumstances leading up to the pursuit, including what prompted the officer to pursue the other vehicle, have not been released.
