West Palm Beach Minister Akeem Moore Killed In Shooting

West Palm Beach, FL (BuzzReport)—‘A West Palm Beach church community is mourning the tragic loss of 31-year-old Minister Akeem Moore, who was identified as the man fatally shot early Sunday morning.

Moore, a minister at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, was killed following a shooting in the 500 block of Ontario Place in West Palm Beach. Police were alerted to gunfire shortly after midnight Sunday and responded to the area.

Investigators say Moore suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a nearby fire station before being taken to a hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, Moore later died from his injuries.

A second adult victim was reportedly involved in the incident but was not injured.

Moore’s death has sent shockwaves through Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as Minister of Worship and was actively involved in the church’s Evangelistic Outreach, Technology and Social Media Ministries.

Authorities have arrested 38-year-old Hugh Earp Milner Jr. in connection with the shooting. Investigators say Milner was located with assistance from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and is being held in Broward County pending transfer to Palm Beach County.

Milner faces charges including first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
