Shooting Investigation Underway Off Sage Avenue After Gunfire Erupts Overnight

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Mobile Police are investigating an early-morning shooting after multiple gunshots were reported in a neighborhood off Sage Avenue Sunday morning.

The shooting happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Ivey Street and Heather Street, where officers later discovered a sedan parked along the curb with significant damage consistent with gunfire.

According to the scene, the vehicle had at multiple apparent bullet holes through the windshield, while the driver’s-side window was shattered. Police secured the area and placed crime scene tape around a section of the roadway as investigators worked to document the vehicle and surrounding area.

At this time, it remains unclear whether anyone inside or near the vehicle was struck by gunfire or whether anyone sustained injuries. Authorities have not released information identifying a possible suspect or providing a motive for the shooting.
