MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A Mobile woman is facing serious felony charges after being indicted in connection with a February crash that claimed the lives of two people and left another person injured. Shurmeeka Hall has been indicted on two counts of reckless murder and one count of first-degree assault stemming from the deadly wreck. The crash occurred in early February in the area of Callahan Drive and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Mobile. According to police, the vehicle left the roadway and slammed into a power pole. The impact was severe, reportedly ejecting two passengers from the vehicle. The two victims, Henry Johnson and David Parker, were killed in the crash. A third man sustained injuries. According to the allegations outlined in the indictment, Hall was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed and/or operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Facing Potential Life Sentence Reckless murder is classified as a Class A felony in Alabama and carries a potential sentence of 10 years to life in prison upon conviction. Hall’s arraignment has not yet been scheduled. Additional court proceedings are expected to determine the next steps in the case.
