MOBILE, AL (BuzzReport)—- A 36-year-old woman was arrested Saturday morning after an unusual chain of events involving a stolen vehicle, property damage and a collision in Mobile, according to police. On Saturday, August 15, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Pecan Street after receiving a report of a female who had been struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived, the woman, identified as 36-year-old Antanishia Holcombe, reportedly declined transportation to a hospital. Medical personnel remained on scene and provided her with care. As officers continued investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, they reportedly determined that Holcombe had damaged a vehicle belonging to a known male victim. The investigation took another turn when officers discovered that the vehicle Holcombe had been driving had previously been reported stolen. Police also determined that Holcombe had allegedly jumped onto the victim’s vehicle. According to investigators, she subsequently fell from the vehicle when the male driver applied the brakes. Holcombe was arrested and transported to Metro Jail. The charges stemming from the incident will be addressed through the criminal justice process, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
