MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A man has died following an early-morning shooting at a Circle K convenience store on Dauphin Street, launching a homicide investigation by Mobile police. Officers were dispatched to 3251 Dauphin Street, the location of the Circle K, at approximately 3:47 a.m. Friday after receiving a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts to save his life, the victim later died from his injuries. Police have not yet released the man’s identity, pending notification of his family. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Investigators are working to determine what led to the gunfire and whether the victim was targeted or whether the shooting stemmed from an altercation or other incident. The area around the Circle K may remain an active investigative scene as detectives work to gather evidence and determine exactly what happened in the early-morning hours.
