MOBILE COUNTY, AL (BuzzReport) — A sweeping criminal investigation into alleged corruption within the Prichard Police Department has intensified, with authorities announcing the arrest of another police officer and the filing of identical charges against a second officer. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, announced Wednesday that Jihad Hasan Irby has been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation. Jihad Hasan Irby Irby faces a total of five felony charges, including: Two counts of First-Degree Extortion Two counts of Bribery One count of Use of Office for Personal Gain Authorities also confirmed that investigators served Emanuel Naman Dotch II with the same five warrants on Wednesday, charging him with: Two counts of First-Degree Extortion Two counts of Bribery One count of Use of Office for Personal Gain According to investigators, deputies and members of the District Attorney’s Office located Irby and took him into custody without incident while serving the warrants. Officials say the arrests are part of a broader investigation into allegations of criminal misconduct involving members of the Prichard Police Department. While investigators have not released additional details about the alleged scheme, they emphasized that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities warned that more arrests and additional criminal charges could follow as investigators continue reviewing evidence and pursuing new leads.
