MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile Police are investigating a shooting that left two men injured after one of the victims drove himself to Mobile Police Department Headquarters seeking emergency assistance.

Authorities emphasized that while officers responded to the investigation at MPD Headquarters, the shooting did not occur on police property or in the department’s parking lot. Instead, investigators say the victim was shot at a separate location before making his way to headquarters for help.

According to police, the male victim arrived at MPD Headquarters with a gunshot wound and was immediately provided assistance before being transported to a local hospital. Officials said his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

During the investigation, officers also learned that a second male victim had been injured in what appears to be the same incident or a related shooting at another location. Police said the second victim suffered a graze wound from gunfire. His condition has not been released, but the injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators have not disclosed where the shooting occurred, what led to the gunfire, or whether any suspects have been identified or taken into custody. Detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and establish a timeline of events.

The investigation remains in its early stages, and police are expected to review evidence, interview witnesses, and collect surveillance footage from the area where the shooting is believed to have occurred.
