MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport)— A Mobile man who was already out on bond in a 2023 violent felony case is back behind bars after police say he opened fire during an altercation outside The Grounds, injuring two men and prompting prosecutors to seek the revocation of his previous bond. According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to The Grounds on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at approximately 12:11 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they found two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Police also discovered that an occupied vehicle had been struck by gunfire during the incident. Fortunately, the occupants of the vehicle were not injured. Both shooting victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Investigators determined the violence stemmed from an altercation that broke out in the parking lot following an event at the venue. Detectives launched an investigation that ultimately led to the identification of a suspect. On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, officers arrested Antonio Robinson-Jackson, 22, and transported him to the Mobile Metro Jail in connection with the shooting. The arrest carries added significance because Robinson-Jackson was already out on bond in a separate 2023 case involving a charge of First-Degree Assault and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle, according to authorities. Following his latest arrest, the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion on Thursday seeking to revoke Robinson-Jackson’s bond in the earlier case, citing the new allegations. The latest arrest raises renewed concerns about repeat violent offenders being released on bond while awaiting trial. If the court grants the prosecution’s request, Robinson-Jackson could remain in custody pending the resolution of both cases. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Mobile Police Department.
