MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting that occurred Monday morning at an apartment complex on Old Pascagoula Road.

According to the Mobile Police Department, the victim has been identified as David Patrick, 32. Authorities said no further information about the victim is being released at this time as the investigation continues.

Officers were dispatched to the Plantation Apartments, located at 5725 Old Pascagoula Road, at approximately 6:35 a.m. on June 22, 2026, after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Patrick suffering from a gunshot wound inside one of the apartment units. Emergency responders assessed the situation, but authorities confirmed that Patrick succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatal shooting has left residents of the apartment complex searching for answers as investigators work to determine what led to the deadly incident. Crime scene investigators spent several hours processing evidence and interviewing potential witnesses in an effort to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

At this time, police have not announced any arrests, identified any suspects, or disclosed a possible motive. Investigators are remaining tight-lipped about specific details, saying the case remains an active and ongoing investigation.
